Gingerpig… It starts with a Hammond organ. Such an ultimate rock instrument, doesn’t it also require a band? That’s how Gorefest guitarist Boudewijn Bonebakker thinks and so he founded Gingerpig at the end of 2008. Not only to justify the purchase of a Hammond, but also to make rock music in peace and freedom. In a short period of time, Bonebakker writes a load of songs that clearly rely on the atmosphere of the blues rock and hard rock masters of yesteryear. But it’s more. Much more. Forays into 70’s funk, soul, jazz rock and even early symphonic rock are the rule rather than the exception.
